Beginning January 1, 2024, access to the DOT’s drug and alcohol MIS (DAMIS) will transition to Login.gov. As part of the transition, Login.gov requires multifactor authentication, which removes the ability for TPAs to submit this content for customers. Beginning January 1, 2024, access to the DOT’s drug and alcohol MIS (DAMIS) will transition to Login.gov. As part of the transition, Login.gov requires multifactor authentication, which removes the ability for TPAs to submit this content for customers. Submissions must now be completed by the DOT-regulated employers themselves.
This update is specifically for DOT-regulated employers required to submit their annual drug and alcohol testing information. Agencies within the DOT, including the FTA, FRA, FMCSA, PHMSA, and FAA, will all be part of this change. We have included a table of submission requirements by modality at the end of this blog.
If you already have a Login.gov account, simply sign in as usual when the change takes effect.
If you are a DOT user and do not already have a Login.gov account:
1. Look out for an email or letter from the DOT containing a 32-digit code.
2. Visit the MIS website and enter that code.
3. You’ll be redirected to Login.gov, to create an account and verify your email.
4. After verification, you’ll set a password and choose at least one authentication method.
DISA is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and will keep you informed every step of the way. Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your continued compliance with DOT regulations.
